MIP

Vessel and project costs in one clear overview.

Open MIP ↗ Why I built it ↓

MIP is a financial overview for vessel management and maritime projects. I built it from my own work, because costs were spread across suppliers, jobs, invoices and files.

Why I built MIP

I built MIP because I needed a better overview myself.

During vessel management and repair projects, the technical work is only part of the job. The financial administration around it takes time as well.

Costs come from different suppliers, jobs and activities. Keeping track often means going back through invoices, documents and spreadsheets to see where the money is going.

I started building MIP to keep that information in one place and follow vessel costs and project costs while the work is still going on.

What MIP does now

MIP is focused on the financial side of vessel management and maritime project work.

Financial information in one place

Keep the relevant cost information for a vessel or project in one overview.

Follow vessel and project costs

See where costs are building up during daily management or a project.

Less manual overview work

Spend less time rebuilding and maintaining separate spreadsheets just to keep track of the numbers.

Focused by design

MIP is deliberately kept focused. It is not a complete ERP, procurement or accounting system. It is currently focused on financial overview for vessel management and maritime projects.

The aim is simple: make the cost overview easier to maintain while the actual vessel or project work continues.

Where it fits

MIP is meant for the financial administration that builds up around vessel management, repairs, dry dockings and maritime projects. It keeps the numbers visible while the vessel, repair or project still needs attention.
